It was established in December 1996 when Balfour combined with ArtCarved under the new entity Scholastic Brands, Inc., which was renamed Commemorative Brands, Inc. in 1997, later becoming American Achievement Corporation and now operating as Balfour & Co. The company owns brands including Balfour, ArtCarved, KeepSake, GradImages, and Taylor Publishing, producing class rings, championship rings, yearbooks, caps and gowns, graduation announcements, and commencement photography. It operates throughout North America with around 5,000 team members and manufacturing facilities in Austin, Texas and Merida, Mexico. Its flagship Balfour brand traces its origins to 1913 and is a leading producer of school and championship rings.
