Founded in 1987, the company is dedicated to the extraction, transportation, and commercialization of coal, operating open-pit mines (Pribbenow/La Loma, El Descanso, and El Corozo) in the departments of Cesar and Magdalena, along with Puerto Drummond for export. It is Colombia's largest coal producer and exporter, shipping more than 30 million metric tons of coal annually to customers in over 30 countries, and holds approximately 1.5 billion metric tons of coal reserves. The company employs over 11,000 direct and indirect workers and emphasizes economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible mining.
