Mount Meru Soyco Ltd is a Rwandan company and a subsidiary of Mount Meru Group, a diversified African conglomerate. It is the largest manufacturer of cooking oil and soap in Rwanda, operating a soybean processing plant in the Kayonza district. The project was launched in 2012 in collaboration with the Clinton Foundation and the Government of Rwanda to boost the income of local soybean farmers and strengthen the national economy. The company processes soybeans into edible oil, soy meal, and other derivatives through a vertically integrated value chain focused on sustainability and smallholder farmer empowerment.
