Ohorongo Cement (Pty) Ltd. is a Namibian cement manufacturer and the pioneer among cement producers in the country, operating one of Africa's most advanced cement plants at Sargberg near Otavi in northern Namibia. Production began in December 2010, and the company has an annual production capacity exceeding one million tonnes of high-quality cement. All raw materials are sourced locally in Namibia, making it a 100% Namibian product that serves both domestic projects and export markets in neighbouring countries. The company employs over 280 people on a permanent basis and is owned by the Schwenk Group, the Development Bank of Southern Africa, the Development Bank of Namibia, and the Industrial Development Corporation.
